2021年9月，陈芬在广州一家三甲医院的月经门诊被诊断为“卵巢早衰”。当时，陈芬在医院抽血检查了性激素六项和阴道B超，同时也测了AMH的数值。AMH数值只有0.09纳克/毫升。一般，AMH的正常值为2~6.8纳克/毫升之间，如果卵巢储备功能比较差，AMH会降低。她的性激素六项检查正常，其中FSH数值约为4。阴道B超结果显示，她的卵泡数量只有5个。医生告诉她，一般卵泡数量在12个左右属于正常情况。2022年7月，陈芬的AMH数值降至0.07，FSH的数值升至40多。2023年2月，她复查时，FSH虽然回落到26，但AMH继续降至0.06。
