伦贝瓦斯出生于1980年9月10日，11岁时开始接触举重，启蒙教练是她的母亲。2000年悉尼奥运会，第一次参加奥运会比赛、年仅20岁的伦贝瓦斯获得女子举重48公斤级银牌，为印尼拿下该赛事首枚奥运奖牌。之前，她的最好成绩是世锦赛第七名。2004年雅典奥运会，伦贝瓦斯参加53公斤级比赛，又一次获得银牌。2008年北京奥运会，她原本只获得53公斤级第四名，后第三名选手因服用兴奋剂被取消成绩，她递补获得铜牌。
